Introducing: ML x LF Winter Capsule — A limited-edition collection inspired by ‘70s ski culture, the iconic characters of the time, and the shift of thinking that turned every winter into a celebration. We saw an old photo of Jean-Claude Killey (French World Cup alpine ski racer in the '70s) wearing a sweater like this, and we knew we had to make something like it for our ML x LF Winter Capsule. It was uhhh, how you say, “la class”.  We kept almost 100% of the vintage look, from the armband stripe down the shoulder to the half-Melino stitch. Then we added pockets and raglan sleeves for a more modern, athletic look (and all the freedom your arms could imagine.) Plus ribbed mock neck and cuffs so there's no chafing on your neck and wrists. This a new fabric for us, and we're pretty excited about it. Usually, fabric that looks like this is itchy and stiff (like the ones in vintage stores), but we added in Merino Wool and cotton for softness with some nylon for strength. The result? A warm sweater you can wear all day, no chafing or itch. Brooks (lead vocalist turned Marine Layer model) is 6’0” and wears a Medium.
