Native to the Philippines, the Calamondin (also known as "Calamansi") produces an abundance of small, tart fruits — they taste kind of like a cross between a mandarin orange and a kumquat — that are used to make a lemonade-type drink that’s a favorite refreshment in the island nation. The Calamondin makes a great houseplant thanks to its compact size, glossy green leaves, and fragrant white flowers. Currently ships with fragrant blooms; fruit will grow soon!
