BETHESDA, MARYLAND (May 13, 2010)—Bethesda Row today announced the second annual style event, The Front Row, Thursday, May 20 - May 22, the exclusive three-day event will feature in-store fashion, culinary tastings, beauty demonstrations, art exhibitions, and celebrity and guest appearances within Bethesda Row,
The Front Row begins Thursday, May 20 at 11 a.m. with Bobbi Brown beauty consultations at Bluemercury; a designer denim-fitting event at Urban Chic, A.V. Max jewelry trunk show at Sassanova, Italian Wine Tasting at Bella Italia, and a designer appearance by Michelle Guest of Mija Jewelry at Lou Lou. Thursday evening’s signature event is the Washington launch of Arm Candy, the newest release from author Jill Kargman. Ms. Kargman’s previous bestsellers include Wolves in Chic Clothing, The Right Address, and Momzillas. In addition to a reading and book signing, the evening will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and sweet treats from Georgetown Cupcake. The event will take place at Ginger, on Bethesda Lane and will be hostessed by fashionable Washington notables Sharon Bradley, Sabrina Clopton, Susanna Quinn and Ashley Taylor. Friday, May 21 kicks off in style with appearance by Leona designer Lauren Leonard, at Urban Chic; a meet and greet with bluemercury founder Marla Malcolm Beck; an M.Z. Wallace trunk show at Sassanova, a Designer “Tee” Party at Luna, and a Calypso St. Barth trunk show at Ginger.
Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. on Bethesda Lane, join Project Runway finalist Laura Bennett, and front row fixture, fashion icon and High Society reality star Tinsley Mortimer in the front row with numerous VIPs at The Front Row runway event featuring the latest in summer fashions as well as an exclusive preview of fall trends. Join us as participating Bethesda Row retailers Daddy & Son, Ginger, J. McLaughlin, Lou Lou, Lucy, Luna, Pink Palm, Sassanova, The Waygoose, Urban Chic and Wear It Well take to the runway with the latest fashions. Models’ runway hair will be styled by Bubbles Salon, with makeup by Bobbi Brown for Bluemercury. Following the fashion show, Laura Bennett will be reading from and signing her new style tome, Didn’t I Feed You Yesterday?: A Mother’s Guide to Sanity in Stilettos, for Front Row guests.
Saturday, May 22 Sip & Shop at J. McLaughlin, stop by a Bambeeno cashmere trunk show at Sassanova, or a LuluLemon Athletica pilates class. Around the row, throughout the weekend Front Row exclusives include Chic Stiletto Cupcakes at Georgetown Cupcake, a fashion library featuring every fashion title throughout the store at Barnes & Noble, daily wine tastings at Cork & Fork and unique offers at Le Creuset, The Papery, Pink Palm, The Waygoose, Urban Country and Wear It Well.
