We’ve been unicorn-spotting all season long in our social media feeds—Unicorn Hot Chocolate, that is. The season’s hottest drink trend was created by Creme & Sugar, an Anaheim, California, (NOTE RACHEL: THE COMMA IS GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT.) sweet shop. Try making one in your microwave today. It’s sure to add a burst of rainbow brite to the dreariest winter day.
Combine the following in a mason jar or your favorite microwave-safe mug:
- 1 cup milk of your choice
- 1/4 cup (2 ounces) white chocolate
- dash vanilla extract
- dash butter flavor
Microwave for less than one minute or ‘til you see small bubbles and the chocolate is almost melted. Remove and stir or shake to froth. Now, here’s the fun part: top with whipped cream, multicolored fruit marshmallows, rainbow sprinkles and edible glitter. Pro tip: add a rainbow twisty lollipop “unicorn horn.” Now that’s what we call magical!
