HOT TODDIES

Baby it’s cold outside.

Cozy up with a hot toddy at one of your favorite Bethesda Row bars. Here are some great ideas to try here or mix at home, compliments of Mon Ami Gabi.

  1. Joe’s Spiked Chai Latte. This spicy, seasonal libation is prepared with a house-made Chai mixture that’s frothed with heavy whipping cream then poured tableside over a base of coffee liquor and aged rum in a warmed coffee glass. Joe’s Executive Chef Nate Henssler created this cocktail based on his past experiences in Indian cuisine.
  1. French Connection Coffee. The perfect blend of nutty and chocolate, this toddy combines house blend coffee with cognac, amaretto and chocolate liqueur, sweet cream and almonds.
  1. Paris N’ Bourbon. Mon Ami Gabi bartender Matt Miller created this hot toddy. It features Parisian tea-infused Bulleit Rye Bourbon topped off with local honey and fresh lemon juice. As Matt says, Paris meets Kentucky for a spice-filled twist on the classic cold-weather favorite.
